despite not wanting to be a jw anymore and not being at meetings for a few months, still have k. songs coming into my head- both from old and new song books - usually whilst working.

anyone else?

I don't care I think a lot of them are beautifully written. I still enjoy them. Just a few where the lyrics might really bother me.

Funny thing is, the sister on the top left was interviewed on one of the videos as a good example of leaving behind her opera career for the sake of the truth.

Wonder how she feels knowing that the little punk standing a few feet away from her is living it up and can have it both.

Then we'd be required to wear white underwear, but no flashy socks.

We'd be allowed to partake, but only little tubes of water.

We'd be able to believe in crazy dogmas based on 19th century religious urban legends, but we . . . wait, both Mormons and JWs have both been doing that all this time already.

what's the greatest advantage in becoming a roman catholic after leaving the jehovah's witnesses some 17 years ago?

why, it's the way it totally irritates people and really pushes their buttons...that is, if you are one of the unfortunate jehovah's witnesses who happens across my door during field service.

i have developed several techniques to make it very frustrating to the unwary witness who hopes to make headway at my house.

my cong strictly enforced the facial hair unwritten rule.

alot of bros starting growing soul patches, then the co cracked down on that too, no more, must be clean shaven, especially ms and elders.

(Not much time left for service and meetings, now is there?) Besides that, he's hobnobbing with loads of worldly people, showing off on his Facebook page.

So why is Sergei from the convention video not allowed to play his violin, but Nicolas can pursue his worldly career and get rewarded for it by the organization?

I wouldn't say "And who's the tall hooded chap you've brought with you today?", because then they're liable to think that an angel is watching over them, reinforcing their beliefs 😜

And that wasn't really even a film, it was 'in the style of a stage play', meaning lip-syncing, incomplete sets and a very low budget.
